French Congress of Psychiatry CFP 2019

The 11th edition of the French Congress of Psychiatry (CFP) will be held in Nice from 4 to 7 December 2019 on the theme of "Crisis". In Hippocratic medicine, the crisis meant sudden upheavals in the course of an illness, announcing a fatal or happy outcome ("salutary" crisis). In Greek, the verb "krínein" means "to decide". This etymology indicates that the reflection on the crisis is not limited to a pessimistic observation of current difficulties, but also involves decision-making to successfully manage rapid transformations.
