Early introduction of gluten to prevent celiac disease
26 novembre 2020

Celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disorder that leads to gluten intolerance. There is currently no preventive treatment for this disease, which affects nearly 1% of the population. In 2008, the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) recommended introducing wheat into the diet of infants between 4 and 6 months of age to help prevent celiac disease.
