With the National Atherosclerosis Society of the host country, EAS organizes an annual 3-day scientific Congress in a different European city each year. EAS Congresses are attended by approximately 2500 basic and clinical scientists, clinicians, and practitioners with interest in cardiovascular diseases. Each Congress features

plenary sessions with lectures given by eminent speakers,
in-depth workshops on selected cutting-edge topics,
a wide variety of symposia and satellites,
and a strong focus on interaction and discussion around the poster presentations and moderated poster sessions.
