Breast cancer: a decade that transformed treatment
2 octobre 2026

Over the past
decade, breast cancer management has undergone profound changes. The
introduction of CDK4/6 inhibitors, therapies targeting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR
pathway, new anti-HER2 treatments, immunotherapy, and antibody–drug conjugates
(ADCs) has progressively shifted treatment toward an approach guided by the
molecular characteristics of each tumor.
A review
published in Cancers in 2026 looks back at this decade of innovation and
examines the major clinical trials and molecular advances that have shaped this
evolution.
