During a joint online ceremony, the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) and its South African partners (ASSA, SAGES, SASES) validated the framework for ENDO 2026, to be held in Cape Town. The event builds on previous congresses, aiming to maintain a high scientific standard while strengthening access to gastrointestinal endoscopy, particularly in underserved regions.

The congress will highlight recent advances in endoscopy and foster international collaboration, while showcasing medical and surgical expertise in South Africa. It will also serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, training, and the dissemination of innovative techniques to improve patient care.

ENDO 2026 will take place from September 24 to 26, 2026, in Cape Town, and will feature live demonstrations, hands-on sessions, plenary lectures, scientific symposia, and training activities led by international experts.
