After addressing isolation and physical activity, the SFGG will now focus on sexuality after the age of 80.
Psychologists, gynecologists, urologists, geriatricians, and nurses will address questions that frequently arise at home, in care facilities, or in hospital settings: What are the physiological effects of aging on sexuality? Which commonly prescribed medications affect sexual function, and how can these effects be managed? How should mild cognitive impairment and the issue of consent be addressed? How can families who oppose the emotional or sexual life of a nursing home resident be supported and guided?
