Every year, the Rencontres KAP Ouest brings together professionals in physical medicine and rehabilitation to discuss practices for caring for people with disabilities.

The 23rd edition will be held on March 12 and 13, 2026, in Rouen, bringing together medical, paramedical, and administrative teams, researchers, patients, and users to exchange expertise, innovations, and best practices for improving the quality of life, independence, and inclusion of those receiving care.

The 2026 edition will place particular emphasis on two key themes: swallowing disorders, which are essential issues for patient health and safety, and driving adapted to people with disabilities, approached from the perspective of assessments, technical adaptations, and rehabilitation approaches aimed at promoting independence while ensuring safety.

The event promotes meetings between professionals from different backgrounds, the exchange of ideas, and the co-construction of concrete solutions to benefit the care and life journeys of those receiving support.
